Sunlogin 12 is out: better desktop quality, steadier cross-network connectionsSee what is new

Device networking and traversal

Join scattered devices into one virtual LAN and reach them as if they sat in the same office.

Remote desktop covers "controlling one machine"; networking covers "reaching a whole network". Add devices to one virtual LAN and you can access internal services as if you were on site.

What it solves

Opening admin panels that only answer inside the LAN, linking branch systems to headquarters, or letting travelling staff reach company resources — all without building a traditional VPN.

  • Reach internal web services and admin panels
  • Connect branch networks with head office
  • Secure access to company resources while travelling
  • No public IP or port forwarding required

How devices join

Install the client on each device and add it to the network; every device gets a virtual LAN address and can then reach the others by that address.

  • Install and join the chosen network
  • Virtual LAN address for mutual access
  • Invite members and control admission
  • Authorise access scope per device

Keeping the boundary tight

Networking widens reach, so authorise deliberately: only necessary devices join, only necessary services are exposed, and review the member list regularly.

  • Invite by least privilege
  • Remove people and devices when they leave
  • Keep independent authentication on critical services
  • Review members and logs periodically

FAQ

How is this different from remote desktop?

Remote desktop controls one device screen; networking lets many devices reach each other services as if they shared a LAN.

Will it change my existing network?

No. The virtual adapter only carries tunnel traffic; quitting restores normal network access.
