When sound matters — meetings, training, checking audio or video — enable audio transmission to hear the host in real time.
What is transmitted
By default the host system sound comes through, including music, meeting audio and alerts. Some editions also send your microphone to the host for two-way voice.
- Host system sound streamed back
- Microphone talkback on supported editions
- Independent volume control
- One-click mute in the session
Quality and latency
Audio travels on its own channel and uses little bandwidth. On poor networks audio may break up before the picture does; turning it off keeps the desktop responsive.
- Audio uses little bandwidth
- Disable sound to protect input on weak links
- Use headphones if you hear echo
- Adjustable sampling rate
Troubleshooting
If you hear nothing, check that the host is not muted and audio services run normally, then verify that audio transmission is enabled and your playback device is correct.
- Confirm the host is not muted
- Check the audio toggle in the session
- Confirm the default playback device
- Repair virtual or broken audio drivers
FAQ
Can I listen to a remote meeting?
Yes, enable audio transmission to hear meeting sound. For talkback, check whether your edition supports microphone pass-through.
The sound is noisy. What can I do?
Usually network jitter or a sampling-rate mismatch. Switch the audio preset or move to a wired network and retry.
